The 2021 Native Plant Sale was a huge success!! After a lot of uncertainty and some major adaptations, we sold more plants, more bamboo stakes, and gave away more blue tubes since the first sale 28 years ago. We sold over 30,400 plants, which will help protect water quality and enhance habitat throughout the region! We can't wait to see your backyard native landscapes grow!
Our lines were short and quick, our staff was detailed and helpful even during the wind and rain on Sunday. Thank you to all who came out to pick up orders, we enjoyed seeing so many happy, masked faces. This was our first in-person event in over a year! We hope to see you all again next year for another native plant sale, whatever that may be.
Thank you to Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association for hosting this year's pick up.
If you missed out this year, we will be back again in 2022. Sign up here for our monthly e-news to receive monthly emails from Whatcom CD about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and District news.

Hear from 2021 Plant Sale customers:
“The organization around the actual distribution was amazing! I was also really impressed with your materials; the single info-sheet chart was awesome, you are great about using compostable materials--the paper bag, twine, etc. when possible.
With regard to plant quality, I was impressed --all plants were looking healthy, bundles had the correct numbers of plants, and the sizes were what I was expecting.”
“Pickup was dreamily quick and efficient - you were all such a well-organized team! I'd love to do this again for preorders every single spring!!”
“Nice stock this year. Pick up was quick and smooth. Thank-you!”
