Mortality Management
According to WAC 16-25-025 and WAC 246-203-121, disposal of animal mortalities is required within 72 hrs after death or discovery. Mortalities are not to be disposed of in a liquid manure, storm water, or process wastewater storage or treatment system that is not specifically designed to treat animal mortalities.
Options for mortality management are:
